Nokia BH-202
The Nokia BH-202 is a simple bluetooth headset, which i got a while ago as a kind of “patronage rewards” from my mobile phone provider – quite useable and comfortable to wear. According to the manufacturer, the built-in battery provides a standby time of up to 200 hours (when the headset is turned on and keeping the connection to the mobile) and a talk time of up to 10 hours.
One can also remove the cover and exchange it with other colors – as far you get applicable parts.
Thereby i instantly noticed the little screw – and since i'm a curious person, i could not resist to dismantle this piece. A click on to the pictures will show a larger view.
After removing the screw, you can carefully remove the upper part of the housing – both parts are connected with little “latches”, as it is common with many devices in plastic cases. This means, you carefully have to work along the both housing parts with a thin plastic card or similar, until they separate completely.
At the end, you can see the circuit board. The keys for the volume setting are only a plastic rocker, which likely will pop out - important to remember, when reassembling the headset later: ”-” is in the direction to the speaker, ”+” is in the direction to the microphone:
When you lift the circuit board carefully, you can see the bottom side with the built-in battery – compared to the size it's quite impressive, that this tiny battery is sufficient for several hours of talking and more than a week in standby operation:
After i had reassembled everything, the headset still works of course.
