GPS-Tracking

GPS-Tracking means to record a way using a GPS receiver. For this, the current location will be recorded in regular intervals – e.g. once per second – together with the time. With this recording one can later create elevation profiles, determine the total distance and speeds. It is also possible to visualize the track on map.

Online visualization

If you don't want to use a software to visualize recorded tracks, you can do this online as well – for this you usually need the recording as a file in GPX format. Following a few choices of services, which provide the visualization and analysis of GPX files and show the tracks based on Google Maps:
